The word "Olympics" is used in its generic sense: sporting and cultural events. The Tibetan Olympics 2008 is a private enterprise founded to provide an opportunity for young Tibetans to have a platform to celebrate the spirit of the World Olympics to be held on 8.8.8 in Beijing.
